This blogpost accompanies the episode: How to Give and Receive Feedback: Laws of Advice, Leadership and Gratitude
The Law of Advice: Proverbs 15:22 states, "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed." This principle emphasizes the importance of seeking counsel from multiple sources. Here are the key takeaways:
Seek advice from people who have achieved what you aim to do.
Be open to tough feedback, as it indicates areas needing change.
For instance, Sarah, a Christian entrepreneur, found success by seeking advice from experienced business owners in her church community. Initially, she found some feedback hard to swallow, but over time, it helped her refine her business strategy, leading to increased sales and customer satisfaction.
The Law of Leadership: 1 Timothy 5:17 teaches us, "The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching." Effective leadership begins with leading oneself. Key principles include:
Lead yourself first.
Lead others as you would want to be led.
Empower people to rise to their best selves.
Jessica, a mother and business owner, exemplified self-leadership by managing her time efficiently, prioritizing both her family and business. Her leadership style not only improved her business operations but also created a nurturing and empowering environment for her employees.
The Law of Gratitude: Proverbs 17:13 states, "Evil will never leave the house of one who pays back evil for good." This principle encourages us to find the positive in every situation, no matter how difficult. Key takeaways include:
Always look for the silver lining.
Cultivate a habit of gratitude.
Rachel, who faced numerous challenges while scaling her online coaching business, practiced gratitude by thanking God for the lessons learned and the strength gained. Her positive attitude attracted more clients who were drawn to her resilience and positive energy.
Here is action you can take for each of these laws.
For The Law of Advice: Join a Christian business network or find a mentor who aligns with your values.
For The Law of Leadership: Balance your roles by setting clear boundaries and practicing self-care. Lead by example in both your personal and professional life.
For The Law of Gratitude: Keep a gratitude journal. Reflect on the positives of each day, and thank God for every blessing and lesson.

Oct 24-27, 2024 - Phoenix Arizona. One house in the mountains. 21 women all planning out their business and receiving supernatural growth and deliverance on their life and business. 2 Biblical experts are coming and 2 Business experts to coach and teach. Don't miss this.
In this free guide, we show how we move our clients from $0 to $1M in our signature 5S Method guide. It is delivered over 5 emails in 5 days, outlining one "S" each day. This method is used on every client and several have reached the 7 figure revenues with it (some have plans to scale past this mark). We strive to help each client reach seven figures (if they desire that). Not everyone wants a business that large and not everyone even has a product that can scale to that. But everyone can use the method to grow their business with Biblical principles and help.
Our community consists of women of all different types of businesses at all stages. Our common bond is a desire to grow in our faith and in our business. These often overlap. If your faith is struggling, your confidence can too. If your business is struggling, your faith can become shaky.
We help with both.
